Leading this office are field organizers Rohnda Ammouri and Sue LaVaccare, who have worked hard to make the office feel like an extension of Wendy's neighborhood to everyone who comes in to help spread the word and get out the vote.
Every day, Angelenos of all ages stream in to lend a hand, and it's common for entire families to volunteer together at nights or on the weekends.
For volunteer Kira Morrison, a junior at Hollywood High School who phone banked on her birthday this year, it was the surprise call from Wendy, cupcakes and the singing of “Happy Birthday" that made the Studio City office feel like home.
The team at Studio City, Sue and Rohnda, believe strongly that the key to the office's success is a positive experience for each volunteer -- once you come in, you'll want to come back!:
Q: Where are you from?
Rohnda: I'm originally from Modesto, California, but I've lived in Los Angeles for four years.
Sue: I was born in Chicago and lived in Minnesota and San Francisco before settling here in L.A.
Q: What is your favorite political movie or television show?
Rohnda: Milk
Sue: Scandal

Rohnda: I've worked on campaigns both in and out of California for ten years.
Sue: I am a long time political volunteer, but this is my first time as a campaign staff member. I was heavily involved in volunteering for the campaigns of Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and Christine Quinn. I am also a passionate supporter of the Victory Fund, Human Rights Campaign and Feminist Majority.
Q: Why do you believe in Wendy as our next Mayor?
Rohnda: I am excited to have a highly qualified woman running for Mayor. It's about time! I want a female mayor for our City, but I also know from Wendy's past accomplishments that she is more than capable and will exceed expectations once she can get to work as Mayor.
Sue: Wendy has a breadth of experience, both political and real life. It's also important to me that she is a kind person. I only support candidates who I respect, that is who I want to represent me. Additionally, I think it is courageous of Wendy to stick by what she believes in and send her son to a public school. She is more than qualified to be Mayor, I know she'll get the job done for our City.
