Important API Law Enforcement Association Gives Greuel the Nod
LOS ANGELES, CA – Fueling her campaign with more momentum, today Wendy Greuel won another law enforcement endorsement with the announcement that the Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics (LEAAP) is backing her campaign for Mayor.
Today’s endorsement comes on the heels of Greuel’s recent public safety endorsements from the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) and the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC) Local 112.
Just yesterday, Greuel was joined by firefighters as she announced her public safety plan to keep the city’s residents safe.
“Los Angeles needs a Mayor who puts public safety first,” said Jen Wong, President of LEAAP. “That candidate is Wendy Greuel. Wendy has demonstrated her ability to deliver results for all of Los Angeles, and as Mayor, we’re confident she’ll make sure residents in every neighborhood have ample police and fire protection. We are proud to join the ranks of other law enforcement groups in announcing our strong support of Wendy Greuel for Mayor of Los Angeles.”
LEAAP is a 20-year-old organization that represents law enforcement officers at the municipal, county, state, and federal level. LEAAP exists under the National Asian Peace Officers Association.
“I'll be a Mayor for all of Los Angeles. That means prioritizing every neighborhood and making sure communities across the city are safe,” said Greuel. “This endorsement is a testament to the growing support for my campaign among law enforcement and public safety groups throughout Los Angeles. With less than a month before the primary election, this endorsement comes at a key time in the campaign. I really appreciate the support of the Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics.”
