Endorsement Further Validates Greuel as Top Pick Among Law Enforcement Groups

LOS ANGELES, CA – Underscoring her growing support among key law endorsement groups, today Wendy Greuel picked up a formidable endorsement from the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS).

This endorsement provides yet another boost to the Greuel campaign and follows her recent endorsement from the Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics (LEAAP). Greuel has also won highly coveted endorsements from the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) and the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC) Local 112.

Last week, Greuel was joined by firefighters as she announced her public safety plan to keep the city’s residents safe. To view the plan, click here: http://www.wendygreuel.org/public-safety/.

“The Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs is proud to give Wendy Greuel our enthusiastic endorsement,” said Floyd Hayhurst, President of ALADS. “No other candidate in the race for Mayor matches Wendy’s wide breadth of experience or her exceptional track record. Wendy has shown our members and Los Angeles’ broader law enforcement community that she’ll put public safety first. As a result, we are confident that under her leadership, LA will be safer.”

ALADS represents 8,000 members and is the largest association of deputy sheriffs and district attorney investigators in the United States.

“Having the support of Southern California's frontline sheriffs’ deputies who risk their lives every day to keep our residents safe means a great deal to me,” said Greuel. “I consider their endorsement a badge of honor. As Mayor, I’ll do everything I can to keep our residents, local neighborhoods, and streets safe comes to Los Angeles. I am truly grateful to have ALADS’ endorsement, and look forward to working with them in my campaign and beyond.”

This announcement comes on the heels of Greuel’s announcement early today that she was endorsed by the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) of Los Angeles County. Recently Greuel was also endorsed by Los Angeles News Group, the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) PAC, and the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats.
