Greuel Secures Backing of L.A. Fire Chief Officers' Association

Public Safety Groups Continue to Rally Behind Greuel

Los Angeles, CA — Underscoring her broad appeal among public safety and law enforcement groups, today Wendy Greuel won a key endorsement from the Los Angeles Fire Chief Officers' Association.

Today’s endorsement follows Greuel’s recent endorsements from the L.A. County Firefighters Association Local 1014 and the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC) Local 112.

“Los Angeles needs a Mayor like Wendy Greuel, who can steer our City back to safe waters,” said Andy Fox, President of L.A. Fire Chief Officers' Association. “As a fiscal watchdog with a keen sense of what businesses need to thrive, we’re confident that as Mayor, Wendy will grow our economy and help bring in more revenue, while at the same time, she’ll get LA’s fiscal house in order. Under her leadership, we know the fire department will have the resources we need to keep our communities safe. She is by far the best candidate to be LA’s next Mayor and we are pleased to give her our strong support.”

“As Mayor, public safety will be one of my top priorities,” said Greuel. “Having the support of the L.A. Fire Chief Officers' Association demonstrates that they know I’ll be a forceful advocate for safe communities throughout our City. It also shows they believe I’ll be a strong partner with them to ensure the department has the resources it needs to reduce response times and ensure timely and effective services to residents all across Los Angeles. I am grateful for their endorsement.”

Beyond those listed above, Greuel has racked up a sizable list of law enforcement endorsements, including the Los Angeles School Police Officers Association (LASPOA), the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS), the Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics (LEAAP), and the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL).

Significantly, with just over two weeks before the March 5th primary, Greuel has been gaining tremendous momentum in the race for Mayor. She has recently secured key endorsements from the Valley Industry and Commerce Association PAC, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Jobs PAC, the Los Angeles News Group, and the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project of Los Angeles County, among many others.
