Public Safety Groups Continue to Consolidate Behind Greuel in Mayor’s Race
LOS ANGELES, CA – Continuing to outperform her opponents in the race to win key public safety endorsements, today Wendy Greuel received a forceful endorsement from the Los Angeles County Firefighters Local 1014.
Los Angeles County Firefighters Local 1014 represent more than 3,200 Firefighters and Paramedics in Southern California.
Today’s endorsement follows Greuel’s joint appearance last week with the members of the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC) Local 112 where she released her public safety plan.
This week, legendary former Los Angeles Police Chief Bill Bratton endorsed Greuel’s public safety goals, as outlined in her plan. To view Greuel’s plan, click here.

When it comes to winning support from law enforcement and public safety groups, Greuel has been leading the field. So far she’s secured endorsements from the Los Angeles School Police Officers Association (LASPOA), the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS), Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics (LEAAP), the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), and the United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC) Local 112.
Notably, Greuel has recently received several crucial endorsements, including: the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce’s Jobs PAC, the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) PAC, the Los Angeles News Group, Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project of Los Angeles County, and the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) of Los Angeles County.
